Who We Are

We are pleased to welcome you to our family of services. We are your local agency for mental health and substance use disorder services. We are a governmental Michigan Community Mental Health Authority that provides public mental health and substance use disorder services in Shiawassee County. Under contract with and funded by the Michigan Department of Community Health (MDCH), we serve adults, children and families who have serious mental illness and/or developmental disabilities, and/or substance use disorders. Our services are provided to people without regard to race, color, nationality, religion, political beliefs, gender, age, health status, disability or ability to pay as defined in Michigan’s State law or regulations.

Access Alliance of Michigan (AAM) Member

We are a member of the Access Alliance of Michigan, a family of mental health and substance use disorder providers joined together to give you excellent, quality care. Access Alliance of Michigan (AAM) and Riverhaven Coordinating Agency (RCA) are divisions of the Bay-Arenac Behavioral Health Authority. AAM and RCA manage public mental health and substance use disorder services. Bay-Arenac Behavioral Health Authority is the Pre-paid Inpatient Health Plan for persons with Medicaid. AAM also includes Huron Behavioral Health, The Montcalm Center for Behavioral Health, and Tuscola Behavioral Health Systems.
